FIELD MODELLING

Fluid to field, in one model.

Converge puts PVT, wells, reservoir, network and economics on one shared model that you open in a browser tab. Every module reads the same fluid, from the lab report to the cash flow.

Pressure against temperature. The bubble-point line rises from the left to the critical point at 143 °F and 5,025 psia; the dew-point line continues to a cricondenbar of 5,075 psia and a cricondentherm of 545 °F. The reservoir isotherm at 220 °F crosses the dew-point line, so liquid drops out as pressure falls. -100010020030040050060001,0002,0003,0004,0005,000 Temperature, °F Pressure, psia LiquidGasTwo-phase 40% liquid20% liquid Reservoir 220 °F Pressure against temperature. FLUID TUNING

Live tuning

Drag a parameter and saturation pressure, separator GOR, CCE and differential liberation recalculate in roughly 20 to 50 milliseconds.

Converge live tuning screen: parameter sliders on the left, and saturation pressure, separator GOR and experiment plots that update as the sliders move.

AI COPILOT

AI copilot

Upload a PVT report as PDF, Excel or Word. The copilot builds the fluid and tells you what to tune.

ENGINEER

Build a model from this report and match the CCE and DL.

ENGINE

read composition: C1–C6, C7+ (MW 218, SG 0.852)
characterise: gamma split, 5 pseudo-components, PR78
regress: psat, GOR, Bo, relative volume

COPILOT

Saturation pressure now matches to 0.4%. I down-weighted the 500 psia DL point: its GOR is higher than the 1,000 psia point, which a liberation test cannot produce. Review the exclusion before you publish.

Nothing publishes until you accept it.

Method

The equation-of-state engine is tested against an independent open-source implementation and against NIST measurements. These checks run in the test suite, so a change that breaks them does not ship.

Saturation pressures vs thermo 0.6.1 · ≤ 0.01%
Bubble and dew points for the SPE5 oil and a condensate, in PR, PR78 and SRK, against Caleb Bell's independent Python implementation.
Flash compositions vs thermo 0.6.1 · ± 1×10⁻⁵
Vapour fraction and phase compositions from two-phase flashes, absolute difference, same fluids and equations of state.
Pure-component vapour pressure vs NIST · ≤ 3%
Methane, ethane, propane, n-butane and CO2 against the NIST Chemistry WebBook. The gap is the equation of state itself, which is why tuning exists.
Liquid density and viscosity vs NIST · 3% · 5–10%
Volume-shifted propane liquid density at 300 K within 3%. LBC methane viscosity within 5% at 1 bar and 10% at 100 and 200 bar.

FAQ

Common questions

Do I need to install anything?

No. Converge runs in a browser tab. There is no installer, no licence dongle and no licence server to maintain.

How do floating seats work?

A seat belongs to the company, not to a person. Opening a module takes a free seat and closing it gives the seat back, so three seats means any three of your engineers at once. See how the seat model works.

Which simulators can I export to?

Black-oil tables for PROSPER, MBAL, GAP, REVEAL and CMG IMEX, PVTO/PVDG for Eclipse, and EOS decks for E300 and CMG GEM. Every table also exports as CSV.

Can we install Converge on our own servers?

Yes. Converge can be installed on-premises, on your own servers, so project data never leaves your network. The engineering modules, from PVT to economics, run fully offline. The AI copilot needs a model to talk to: either a cloud AI provider your company approves, or a model you host yourselves inside your network. See on-premises.

Where is our data stored?

Each company gets a database of its own for projects, saved versions and seat records. Data residency is available on request. See security and data.

Which AI providers does the copilot use?

Claude, Gemini, OpenAI or Kimi, whichever your company approves. If the provider you choose is not configured, the request fails with a clear message; it is never sent to a different one.
